ASF Services (“ASF Services,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Beacon case management platform (“Beacon” or the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Beacon is a healthcare case management application. Sensitive health information is handled in accordance with applicable laws, including HIPAA where applicable. This policy covers the Beacon platform, including our SMS messaging program.

How we use your information

SMS messaging program

If you opt in to our SMS program, you will receive appointment reminders related to your case. Message frequency varies based on your scheduled appointments. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors that support our messaging operations is limited to what is necessary to deliver the messages you have requested (for example, our SMS gateway provider).

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@asfservices.com.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information only as needed to provide the Service:

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to comply with our legal obligations. Records associated with healthcare matters may be retained for longer periods as required by applicable law.

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and comprehensive audit logging. Our safeguards are designed to meet the standards required for handling protected health information under HIPAA. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.

Children’s privacy

Beacon is a healthcare case management service used by adult professionals and by adult clients or guardians. The Service is not directed to children, and children do not interact with the Service directly.

We may receive and retain information about minor patients (including those under 13) when a parent or legal guardian provides that information to us as part of their case. We treat that information with the same protections we apply to all case information.

Our SMS messaging program is offered only to individuals who are at least 18 years old, or who participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly enroll children under 13 in the SMS program.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
